Meet the Band

Ronnie Bachorski
The Voice of JTTA

His uncanny resemblance vocally to Steve Perry, as well as his showmanship, makes him the ultimate front man to help bring the Arena Rock experience and the music of Journey, to the masses.

His main influences are a melting pot of the greatest singers of our time. Freddie Mercury, Paul Stanley, Sam Cooke, Luther Vandross, Smokey Robinson, David Coverdale, and many others.

Ronnie mixes the vibe from all of these different genres, and brings an element of soulfulness and feel to the rock frontman persona. He isn’t satisfied until everyone in the building are on their feet. And takes pride in re-creating the experience you had at all those Arena Rock shows long ago…

George Kalantzis
Guitar, Vocals

George has always had a passion for music. He started playing trumpet and guitar at an early age and ended up pursuing guitar in his teens. During that time he cut his teeth in Chicago-area rock bands playing metal and progressive rock, being mostly influenced by Randy Rhoads, George Lynch, Vernon Reid, and Alex Lifeson. As his passion for the guitar grew, he had the opportunity to study guitar with Chicago Jazz great Frank Dawson while in college. Through his studies he not only learned about music and composition, but the importance of being able to perform a wide range of styles, have a deep repertoire, and the importance of a performance.

Some of his current (and ongoing) influences include Robben Ford, Jimmy Herring, John Scofield, Scott Henderson, and Tim Stewart. And his diverse love of music is evident in the wide range of styles he’s been involved with and can cover – from rock and country to blues, jazz, pop, and funk.

Rick Cerra
Bass, Vocals

Has been playing around the Pittsburgh area for 20+ years. Playing bass and vocals in Classic Rock Band Neutral Loss, 80’s Party Band Ferris Bueller’s Revenge and currently in Journey Through the Ages!

Rick also plays guitar and lead vocals in his current acoustic duo project Rick & Tony Acoustic. Past Acoustic acts were One Two Meny, and American Honey.

Will Irvine
Keys, Vocals

William Irvine began his musical education at the age of 8 with piano lessons, continuing until he was 17. He taught himself guitar on his first instrument, purchased at Goodwill, after making makeshift guitars from Construx and rubber bands as a child.

In his teens, William focused on composing music. His first live performance was in 2000 with the disco band “Tilt Wheel Standard.” He then played in the DEVO cover band “The Spudboys” from 2000 to 2010, performing with DEVO members Jerry Casale and David Kendrick.

William was one half of the acoustic duo “The Acousticals” and joined “Ferris Bueller’s Revenge” from 2006 to 2020. He is now having a blast as a member of “JTTA.”

William draws inspiration from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, They Might Be Giants, DEVO, and The Residents.

Jeff Reim
Drums, Vocals

Jeff began playing drums at age 10. He was inspired to begin playing after seeing Todd Sucherman play with Styx during their 1996 reunion tour. He received his first drum kit that Christmas, and began taking private drum set lessons from local blues drummer Lou Ross. He also became a member of the elementary and middle school band, playing mostly snare drum and bass drum. While he continued playing and studying the drum set on his own, he did not participate in high school marching band, as he was a member of the football team, playing all three positions on the offensive line during various years of his high school career.

He attended Duquesne University for two years, studying Athletic Training, before transferring to Pitt to study Emergency Medicine, earning a bachelor’s degree and paramedic certification. It was in college that he first performed live in the Pittsburgh area, playing mostly hard rock and metal. He also met his wife, Stephanie, at Pitt, who is now a nurse anesthetist, and they have been married for 12 years as of August 2023.

In the winter months of early 2023, Jeff answered a post on BandMix made by Ronnie Bachorski, stating that his new project, Journey Thru the Ages, was looking for a drummer. The catalog of the band was exactly the kind of music Jeff was looking to play, as Journey, Styx, REO, and the like were all bands whose music he loved and who’s drummers he idolized.

Jeff’s favorite bands include, obviously, Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner. He also is a huge fan of Rush, Metallica, and 3 Doors Down. Outside of rock and roll, he loves the jazz fusion band, Vital Information, led by former Journey drummer Steve Smith.

Jeff’s biggest influences on the drums include Todd Sucherman (Styx), Steve Smith (Journey/Vital Information), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Neil Peart (Rush), Jeff Porcaro (Toto), and Steve Gadd (Paul Simon, James Taylor, Steely Dan, literally everyone…).
